Un-Just..
Alright, so I've caught much flack for my placement of the notice of engagement. I shouldn't have placed that damn thing in the beginning of a huge write-up about Wal-Mart. So I'll do a better job this time.
December 17, 2005 was my first Saturday of not having to work at Massey's Citgo. We had looked forward to this day simply because we could spend much time together. The day was planned weeks ahead of time. We decided to go to LBL and do the whole Elk/Bison thing and do a little picture snapping. We began by having some homemade muffin's from Lite Side Bakery and Garden Cafe. That's near Grand Rivers. We meandered down the Trace stopping here and there to site-see. Here are some photo's from the trip.

We found these steps walking up to an old foundation of a house that had to have been around near a hundred years back. Behind that we found the foundation of the carriage house. It was really interesting to sit on the concrete and think how this house was probably the home of a family that lived here before the dam was built and the area was flooded.

We made a trip up to the bison and elk range to view some of the wildlife. This was not our first trip, but it was most definately the closest we got to the animals. They crossed the road right in front of us. These animals are free to roam without fear of being hunted. It gave them an air of confidence that was majestic.
Now on to the meat of the story. I had planned this outing for three weeks. We had previously been ring shopping and she knew that I had put one on hold. Well I had been telling her the whole time that the ring wouldn't be ready until after Christmas. I had to keep some of the surprise. Well I knew we could travel up to Lighthouse Landing to watch the sunset. The day had been pretty clear and I was hoping for a good sunset to be able to pop the question.
I started to worry about thirty minutes from sunset. The sky's had become overcast and it appeared that a majestic sunset wasn't in the picture for us. I got a little panicky, I'm n

ot gonna lie. This is what it started out as: --->
Not exactly going as I had planned it, but I did have a backup plan. We had reservations at Patti's that night to eat dinner. They had a christmas lights thingy going on. It wasn't going to

be as pretty as a beautiful sunset, but it was going to have to do. Then it happened. God decided to stop toying with me and produce <---something like what I had been hoping for.

At dinner that night, we saw probably the scariest Santa Clause ever. He's embedded in that tree in the picture. I'll leave you with that bit of creapiness.
Oh yeah, once again for the record, she did say yes.
Also I got a French Press for Christmas. It's so awesome.
